Hemp and glass necklace
We went to a huge art fair in Ann Arbor, Michigan over the weekend. The activist section always fascinates me; parents against circumcision, gays and lesbians, muslim awareness, rights for pets, women’s lib, churches, atheists, and the list goes on.
A booth of handblown glass beads and pendants caught my eye. They were truly works of art, and I must’ve stood there for half an hour debating which one to purchase.
Baby Daddy finally wandered off, leaving me to make the impossible decision all by myself.
Mean. Just mean.
I finally chose a pendant with a gorgeous 3-D flower inside. Glass inside of glass.
As the artist was wrapping my treasure, I commented that I planned on making a hemp necklace to put the pendant on. So instead of the usual black cord, he gave me 4 long strands of good quality hemp.
I knotted it that very evening, while listening to Matt Chandler and Mark Driscoll sermons.
